DR JUSTIN HUNTER
Dr Hunter graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2017 and joined our practice in 2023. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies through the University of Queensland as well as a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Sydney.
Currently, Dr Hunter serves as a Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, bringing over 33 years of dedicated service across the Navy, Army, and Air Force. He has participated in various operations. His extensive military experience has fostered a strong passion for treating the veteran community and assisting with DVA claims.
Dr Hunter enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with a particular focus on skin cancer and dermatology. He is actively pursuing a subspecialty in this field through the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine, where he is a member and has successfully completed the Certificate of Dermoscopy.
In addition, Dr Hunter has a keen interest in occupational medicine and is a qualified CASA Dedicated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME). He has completed the Royal Australian Air Force Aviation Medical Officers Course at RAAF Edinburgh and holds a qualification in Underwater Medicine having completed the Royal Australian Navy Medical Underwater Medicine Course (MOUM).
