DR MATT GABBOTT

MBBS, DRANZCOG, FRACGP

Matt grew up in the local area and completed his medical studies at the University of Sydney in 1999. He worked at Wollongong Hospital and St George Hospital where he completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Matt completed GP training in 2004 and joined Burraneer Family Practice on a permanent basis in 2005.

Matt enjoys the broad scope of medicine encountered in General Practice. He has special interest in all aspects of preventive healthcare as well as mens health and child health and is able to provide shared care in pregnancy. He also enjoys providing travel medicine advice and can provide yellow fever vaccination when required.

Matt has a particular interest, and has undergone more training, in skin cancer detection and management and he can perform a range of minor procedures here at the surgery.
